Hello! My name is Susanne Speer, and I am from Bulverde, TX. I graduated from Texas State University in May of 2009 with my Bachelors in Science, my major being in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am certified to teach early childhood through 8th grade, as well as special education at any grade level. I recently completed my first year of teaching in San Marcos CISD. I finished the last four months of the school year as the teacher in a 2nd grade intervention classroom. Prior to that, I worked with K-2 students doing reading intervention in small group format.
Becoming an teacher is something I've wanted to do ever since I can remember - hence the younger picture of me below with my prized overhead projector! I have always adored children and their fresh perception of the world, and it is truly rewarding to help them grow into the individuals they are becoming. Education is the key to anything you can possibly dream of. As the facilitator of that education, it is my job to be organized, efficient, and dedicated to presenting the most current material I can. I am constantly searching for fresh and creative ways to present lesson content, because when learning is fun, it becomes instilled as knowledge! My number one priority is to ensure that each of my students' educational needs are being met, and it is my daily endeavor to do so.In short, I absolutely adore what I do. Not only is teaching my job, but it is truly my passion!
